I usually distract myself from whatever my brain is having issues with by concentrating on another craft. If my crochet thoughts seem to have disappeared I'll move on to sewing or card making or one of the many other things I love to do. When all the inspiration for everything leaves at once, then the colouring books come out!
When I get into those, don't want to sew moods, I look through some pattern books or magazines and see something that inspires me.
The only time I get in a sewing funk is if I have a day when I CAN'T sew! Thanks for the giveaway!
