then Candi at Raccoon Creek Quilts posted her UFO challenge and got my bum in gear!
I busted most of this out last week. It's called Second Wind because a series of late night second winds got it done. Remember my rule of 2? 2 A.M. and a 2 liter of mountain dew? Totally happened here.
Without further ado...
Second Wind!
And, to match my grandmother's Ogee quilt and tie them together a bit, I've placed a small bird in the bottom corner of the backing:
Fabric is Lola's Posies by Riley Blake Designs, with a bit of Kona Caribbean on the front, Azure on the back, and Free to Grow (Mod Green Pod) as the binding. Interesting fact? I won Lola's Posies and Free to Grow. The only thing I bought for this quilt were the solids!

is a spectacular quilt!
Gorgeous!! I love it. Better late then never!
It was all worth it in the end, wasn't it? LOL
No such thing as a late finish!! I love the backing you made, so fabulous :)
Oh, Bree! It's just lovely! I love it when the back of a quilt is not neglected!
I love the background and the fact that its a double sided quilt!
Wow, and you put Swoon blocks on the back?? That's just beautiful.
So beautiful : )
So great! And the backing is beautiful! :) Congrats on an awesome finish and thanks for linking up to {Sew} Modern Monday!
it's wonderful, both front and back!
Gorgeous, both sides! LOVE the colors!
Ooh, I love that blue background color, and the little bird. I've been seeing so many of these finished quilts around that now I really want to make one too, even though that quilt along is long done!
